Juliet's "Baby Love" first birthday party details

Sources {Cake, Heart toppers, Macarons, love printable, gold balloons, gold vase}

It shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone that I am really excited for Juliet's first birthday party.  It's going to be a beautiful party with lots of great brunch food, gorgeous desserts, my family and closest friends.

Juliet will love it.

She is always happy when surrounded by a lot of people and she adores my family and all the attention they give her.  Her party is going to be a wonderful celebration.  I can't wait.

I've heard the other side.  "She won't remember it".  "You're having the party for you, not her".  "She won't even know what's going on".

I don't care what anyone says.  Why wouldn't I celebrate her?  Why wouldn't I throw a party in honor of the the most amazing year of my life so far, all because of her.

She is so worth the celebration.  And she will have fun!  She'll eat lots of cake (which won't quite be her first taste of sugar) and I'll stare at her in awe and so much love when the frosting is smeared in her hair.  I'll laugh at her dad when he stresses about the mess.  It's going to be such a good day.  I can't wait.

The inspiration board contains a few of my ideas:

Baby love.
Lots of hearts.
Pink and sparkly gold.
Brunch (duh!).
Bubbly drinks,
Beautiful pink macarons,

My baby girl is almost one (in 3 weeks!).  Juliet is going to rock toddlerhood.

  1. I love this! We're actually doing a similar color scheme but with some Mint added in. I can't believe the girls are already one.

  2. Love, love, love! My daughter is 6 months old and I'm already finding fun ideas for her 1st birthday! I think it's also about celebrating the people around us that have supported us in the first year - and who doesn't love a good party?!

  7. Of course you should celebrate her, and also celebrate the fact that you and your husband have done an amazing job raising her this first year! I hated when people told me "she won't remember it".....so what, I should just sit at home with her on the couch until she's 5? No! We go and do and experience! And this first birthday milestone is part of that...experiencing life. I know it will be beautiful, can't wait to see more.

  8. So so pretty! I can't wait to see how it all turns out! My son, while he maybe doesn't remember it, definitely enjoyed his day! He was running all over and loved seeing all of the people there for him. When everyone sang happy birthday, he just watched them in awe. And he really enjoys seeing the photos of his dessert table from time to time. It's pretty special and totally worth celebrating! And honestly, toddlers are SO amazing too! She will rock it. You have so many beautiful times to come with that sweet girl!
