A few Instagram photos of my favorite moments from the weekend...Above: holding my sleepy baby girl and staring at her sweet face while she napped and napped.
Erik's bday was Saturday and we had a few friends over to celebrate. I was proud of myself for having time to make a big strawberry spinach salad, a few appetizers and Erik's favorite, pistachio dessert (I couldn't have done it without the help of my friend Libby). We kept the rest easy by ordering pizza.
Sunday evening included storytime with daddy and Juliet. I bawled while I cleaned the kitchen as I overheard Erik read Juliet "Love You Forever". We hope to have storytime every evening before bed and I plan to ban that particular book until post-partum hormones are at bay.I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well! This is a quick post because little miss Juliet has newborn photos today at 1pm. Wish us luck!

What a productive mammy you are,she is just beautiful! I have heard of so many people crying at this book,im so intrigued, off to amazon I go! Goodluck with the photos,no doubt they'll be adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI loved being able to spend so much time with Juliet this weekend! Langer's bday dinner was very yummy!

She is adorable! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteNew reader here :) I LOVED that book and cried every time I read it to my 3 kiddos...my oldest boy is 16, my daughter is 10 and my baby boy is 8. I still get choked up thinking of that book...it was the fav. of all 3. I have it in a special box for them when they get older :)

Beautiful baby girl! I am in awe that you were able to put together a little party and make food! Seriously. I think I managed to make chili once when Ava was 6 weeks old and it was the hardest thing ever! Ha.
ReplyDeleteMy mom gave us the book "On the Night You Were Born" for Christmas and I cried and cried. I have not even read it to her yet b/c it still makes me cry. At 4 months postpartum I'm not sure I can still blame hormones. Beautiful book though!
That book "Love You Forever" is by far my favorite book and least favorite book...at the same time! Damn that author for creating such a heart-gripping book!
