What better way to start off the week than with a doughnut and coffee tasting party? I spotted this shoot last week on Somewhere Splendid blog and knew immediately I wanted to 1) quit Weight Watchers and eat doughnuts, 2) attempt frying doughnuts for my next adventure in the kitchan and 3) share this loveliness with my lovely readers. These gorgeous photos were shot by Tiny Water Photography. The styling and paper goods designs come from talented Alice Koswara and the incredible flowers are from Botanica Floral Designs.
There are a ton of photos so sit back and enjoy...and prepare to salivate.

Amazing, huh? In addition to inspiration for a doughnut/coffee bar at a wedding I think this would be an awesome theme for a laid back weekend brunch gathering (hmmm, maybe for my upcoming 31st birthday?). I would pair the doughnuts with a salty offering, hashbrowns perhaps? YUM!I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. Technically I have the day off but am in the office working on a client presentation. Oh reality....

Yum, I want to go to a coffee and donut party.

Very cute idea
ReplyDeleteI would take this over a wine tasting any day of the week. But preferably on a Sunday when I can return home afterward and hang out in pajama pants all day. The flavors on those donuts sound outrageous--lemon thyme, chocolate rose, apricot cardamom...I really love this one!
ReplyDeleteI love coffee!! I'd love to gonto a coffee tasting! I'm not a big sweets person ( cut back again now that Christmas is over) but the donuts do look beautifu!

ReplyDeleteWow, what a genius idea! Who wouldn't love that...testing doughnuts, yes please! Lots of good inspiration in this one, thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi there! This looks like a lovely party. i don't know if you've said this elsewhere in your blog, though I've been following for a while and haven't noticed it, but did you use a special filter or anything fancy on your camera for these pictures, in particular? The colors are so extraordinarily vibrant and bold and I was wondering if it's just the contrast between the whiteness of the plates and the incredible lighting or if there's something more technical to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
So cool, saw this on here, and instantly recognized Philz (a SF bay area staple), and the iconic maple bacon doughnut. It's always so fun to see things going around that are close to home. :) This is beautiful, and looks oh so yummy!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute party!
