Love shoot: Libby and Jason plus a giveaway!

I took engagement photos for my good friends Libby and Jason a few weeks ago on a gorgeous fall day in October.  We had a blast hanging out at the apple orchard, wandering up and down rows of apple trees and drinking apple cider.  Libby and Jason's wedding is going to be very special as my husband Erik is the best man and I am the matron of honor.

Caveat, I am not a photographer. I just take photos with a semi-decent SLR. I recently started messing around in Photoshop (thanks Nicole!) but still have so much to learn. Also, when is there time to edit photos? I need about 4 more hours in each day.

This rustic branch heart has made other appearances.  Remember Libby and Jason's engagement party I hosted a month ago?
These two are a great couple, always laughing and having fun.
I love these photos surrounded by juicy, red apples.  Of course I was armed with plenty of props for this shoot.

And now for the giveaway!
I am giving away 2 sets of 2 "general fair" tickets to the Independent Wedding Fair in Minneapolis, MN.  The fair consists of hand-selected wedding professionals taking place at the Varsity Theater on Sunday, November 14th.  The general fair tickets are valid from 1pm - 3pm and each set is valued at $30.

  3. My favorite part of planning a wedding is shopping for the dress! You do it in the beginning, so things haven't gotten stressful yet! Also, it is like being a little girl and getting to play dress-up again. If I win, I will be giving the tickets to my dear friend, Libby, who is getting married in October:)

  5. i'm only in the pre pre pre stages of planning (we have a ring picked out, etc) - meaning i'm just gathering all sorts of ideas that i like into one place - but i'd say my favorite so far is coming up with ideas that will make my wedding fun and special and full of laughs :)

  6. I think you're downplaying your photography skill - you have a great eye for the right moments.

My favorite part of wedding planning?... hmm I'm a small detail kind of a gal so coming up with ideas that truly speak of our relationship is my favorite part. -tying in inside jokes, first dates, family moments that kind of a thing. I can't wait to see the end result of our big celebration!
